A little bit about Mount Zion Orchard, who we are and what we grow. Our family began working this farmland in 1972, growing vegetables and field crops. Generations and economies go by and now we have a mixture of friends, fruit, grain, nursery, and livestock.
The farm is next to a crossroads named Mount Zion, a little spot in the middle of the Eastern Shore of Maryland. We are just a couple of miles west of Delaware. On this page is a picture of a row of bushes in our aronia orchard.
The einkorn field is just out of sight beyond the aronia. Growing and handling this ancient wheat connect one with the soil, with the past, and with the future. We are blessed to farm this land, may it always also be a blessing to others.
